The Steinberg Download Assistant keeps crashing

The Steinberg Download Assistant keeps crashing. I was able to download Dorico on its own, I installed the necessary pre requisite applications, (Steinberg Activation Manager, Steinberg Library Manager, and Steinberg MediaBay)

Then I installed Dorico. When i opened it, it gives an error that several components necessary for playback are missing. It says to run the Steinberg Download Assistant. But it keeps crashing.

I’m running Monterey OS on a 2016 Macbook Pro, all updates installed.

Processor: 3.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7
RAM: 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB

Welcome to the forum @gabe487 .

Yes, you also need to download and install HALion Sonic 7 and GrooveAgent5 plus their corresponding sound library files. Here you can see what Dorico expects:

All those packages can also be downloaded via our Support website.

Thank you, @Ulf
Do you have a link to download these directly? When I searched on the Support page, it sent me to download the Download Assistant again.

The central entry point for downloads is this page.
And actually, I have to apologies, because I told nonsense in regards to the sound contents. That you can only download via the dreaded SDA.
But at least HALion Sonic 7 and Groove Agent SE 5 you can grab from there.

Sorry again for telling nonsense.

Thank you, I will try to download them tonight when I have some more time. Is the SDA problematic for a lot of people? Maybe my computer is just too old. :frowning:

I believe all of the sound content is available for download directly from this page:

So you can get everything you need without using SDA.
