I was wondering if there was a way for Steinberg to go the way other companies went for the installation and activation of their product, which is a single app that does it all. Here, I see 3 apps that sit in my application folder and which send a confusing message as to which one does what.
I find that approach to be counterintuitive. What does the rest of the community think?
This might look confusing and the single app approach of other companies looks easier.
However, the purpose of each of the tools is pretty simple and the name basically tells it already.
- Download Assistant Here you enter new Download Access Codes and get access to your products for downloading
- Activation Manager This tool allows you to activate or deactivate your licenses.
- Library Manager Allows you to manage your installed instruments and samples.
Personally I would prefer a single tool, but I’m used to these tools, so I’m not really thinking about their purpose anymore.
