Dear users and developsers,
Could you find the reason why the tuplets in this musicXML file is not editable? It is very strange…

What do you mean ‘not editable’? Every tuplet is selectable and can be changed. How are you wanting to edit it?
It does look like the original either came from a badly quantised MIDI or a badly encoded xml.
After selecting any tuplets in the imported musicXML file, I hit the Enter key and no popover appears.
I can edit them in Finale: After selecting any tuplets in the imported musicXML file, I pressed Enter and the edit handle appeared.
In MuseScore, the tuplets in the imported musicXML file are editable, although the nested tuplets are not displayed in museScore. MuseScore displays a warning about this, but Finale and Dorico do not display any error messages…
Is your opinion based on the following in the musicXML file?
<divisions>252000</divisions>
<duration>84000</duration>
It is hard for me to believe that the file is badly encoded, because I can edit the tuplets in the musicXML file in Finale and museScore. I can select them in Dorico, but I cannot popover from them.
You can’t recall the popover for any Dorico tuplet. Are you trying to alter their duration/ratio?
Oh! Yes, you are correct. I was foolish!
Yes, I am trying to alter their duration/ratio.
See this thread from a couple years ago for a good guide.
@Mark_Johnson Thanks!
