Those little icon things

To the left of each track in the project window is a little icon showing the track type, for example a little waveform for the audio tracks and a keyboard for instrument tracks. They have a coloured background that matches the track colour.

Can I hide these icons and gain a little real estate? I can’t find a way to do it.

Thanks for any tips.

I’ve checked in preferences>tracks and Track controls settings and i can’t see way to do it either. I don’t think you can.
