I would start a topic on my best memories of Finale, but end-of-life is more than a year ago.

You might appreciate a spin through this thread started the very day of the big announcement, @jeffrags:

Astonished at Finale news!

Just an hour ago Daniel posted to alert us to the end of an era for Finale, which I originally bought in September, 1988. I thought users here would want a place to say things about this news. As for me, I left Finale work behind in 2003 once I was confident enough with Sibelius. But I’m sure there are many thousands of people who will hold onto it for the rest of their lives. If you have relevant stories, let’s keep them short, as the Team and several of us users aim to read everything here.

There’s a fair amount of outrage along the way, but if you follow the thread, also lots of more positive memory-lane kinds of posts.
