Tie note in measure 42 of my project

A problem arise with tie notes in measure 42 on the right hand piano staff. When I try to tie the notes in measure 42 but on the right hand piano staff I can’t tie the note and if I look at the notation window the dotted quarter note is double dotted why? I don’t know why that doing this since I manage do to a few measures with ties and I had no problem. Can someone help me wiht this downfall. Attached is a dorico of measure 42 as you can see no problem to tie the eight note with the dotted half not can’t tie with the Whole note of the measure 43. When I try to tie these 2 notes look at what the tool notation view look at the double dotted quarter note below in the window toll notation.

If you show Voice Colours, you will see the notes in bar 42 are in a different voice.

You could change them from upstem voice2 to upstem voice1 (select and hit V twice, as you have to cycle through the downstem voice).

Or you could select the G and control-click the next G and hit T to tie (that is how you tie together notes in different voices).

It is a double-dotted note, because that is what it is! (Tied notes are single objects in Dorico).

Yes I have tried your propose explanation and it works like a charm from now on I have to pay attention de voices and use color all the time.
