Tie Slash notes into regular slashes?

I’m having mixed results in trying to make rhythm section parts that have tied chords into regular slashes. Sometimes I can use the Laissez Viber, but not always. Am I doing something wrong? In the 2 screenshots, you can see the original rhythm of the notes and then the slash version. As you can see, on the first one I’ve utilized Laissez Viber, but the tie is eliminated on the G7 for some reason.

Any ideas?

You can do this pretty easily by just continuing to use a slash voice for the first slash, then hide the stem in Properties.
