I’ve just discussed this in another thread but it wasn’t actually my main issue there. However, this time it is. There seems to be no way to make ties go to the right voice when two notes are on the same pitch. At least if you want it to attach to voice 1. I can tell by just looking at the tie that it’s connected to voice 3 and not voice 1 since it’s below the notes and not above.
Selecting the tie also means selecting the first note.
Now I should be able to tie the voice 1 (blue) notes. Here’s what that looks like. I can of course reposition the slurs afterwards in Engrave mode but it would be nice not having to do that.
To create a tie in the top voice, just hit the stem of the upper note to select it (not the notehead), then t to make the tie to the next identical pitched note.
When you select both noteheads, Dorico creates a tie between the voices (which is very useful, but not what you want here)
