Tied notes, the second note, make into tuplet

Hello!

I tried searching for this, and I think I have a best-practice solution but I just wanted to double-check with y’all.

Given:

If I want it to become:

Here are the steps:

  1. Highlight the tied pair (F# here in bass clef)
  2. Use Scissor Tool (U) to cut the tie
  3. Highlight the second note and make it into a 3:2 tuplet
  4. Highlight the first note and press T to re-tie

Is that the shortest way to do this?

Thanks!

George

Quicker and easier: Go into Note Entry mode and place the caret right where you want the tuplet to begin. With the caret you can enter all sorts of notations on precise beats, even on multiple staves if you wish.

Of course! Thank you.
