In my previous post, it seems Dorico does not permit you to simply copy and paste a bar if there are ties involved. In this problem, I am trying to create a) a simple slur over D and C# on beat 2, AND a gliss line between them. However, I am not able to due to the ties on both proceeding and preceeding bars. I even tried Forced Duration. Is there a command to prevent the ties from implementing things independently, or is it not possible? You will see my last screenshot is my ultimate goal, HOWEVER I was only able to do in Engrave mode on the following beats…
I’m not sure if I understand your question correct, but if you have set this in Engrave options
You can just select the D and C# in Write mode
and hit the key S to make the slur
Then select both notes again and type gliss in the ornaments popover (shift O), to get this
As @Christian_R showed in your other topic, you can also change this setting for an individual slur if you don’t want to set it globally.
