…To tie a note to a second ending in Dorico 5 on Mac, simply select the note you want to tie, then click on the note in the second ending that you want to connect it to while holding down the “Shift” key ,this will automatically create a tie between the two notes, allowing the note to carry through to the second ending.
I think I figured out a fix with l.v. tie.
That would be the current recommendation, yes. Until there is a more genuine solution.
