I am trying to tie a rolled whole note (timpani part) to a quarter note with a staccato articulation. When I make the tie, the staccato goes away. I looked in the properties and saw no adjustments. I am guessing it mught be un the notation input library. While I’m having a look, perhaps someone can steer me in the right direction.
Never mind. Found it.

Now that I’ve made everyone hold their breath, here is how I accomplished the task (I was also prompted to do so, which, of course, makes sense) in this order:
- Engraving Options
- Articulations
- Ties
- Select end of chain
