I’ve only recently started using the Cubase 9 upgrade and am finding many aspects very frustrating.
One particularly annoying thing is that the time display in the MIDI editor is in minutes instead of bars/beats and I cannot for the life of me see how to change the display. Can anyone enlighten me here please?

Depending on which version you’ve upgraded from there have been many changes. Most good once you’re used to them.
Assuming you’re talking about the ruler display along the top of your editing window, there is an arrow to the top right hand side. Click on it to access the choices for what units are displayed.
