Time/free warp issues when editing Saxophone/horn recordings

Hi all!

Wondering if someone might be able to help me with an issue I’m having. I’m editing some recordings that I did with my band and I am using Time/Free warp to edit the timing of all the instruments. For drums, bass, guitar, keys it is brilliant and works great, however when I come to edit the timings of horns (mainly saxophones and the odd trumpet) it seems to affect the start of the note and sounds like the note has been played twice quickly by the player. Almost like an extremely quick delay or the player double tonguing the note.

I understand when you edit the timing of any instruments (especially horns with their audio make-up), the quality will take a hit as you are stretching/condensing the waveform, however I just wondered if anyone else has this problem and how they have got around it?

I have tried a few other algorithm types however have had no success there.

I’ll attach below a recording of what I mean with and without the warp on.

Thanks,

Tom

Oh, can’t seem to upload or post links to the tracks on here! Any help on that too would be great! :joy:
