Hi, I use Time Machine for backing up my Mac, OS is Sequoia 15.6.

Las week I downloaded and installed Dorico 6, and when trying to back up, the following appeared:

“/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/HALion/VST Sound/SMT_022_Etude_Elements_Samples.vstsound” no se pudo respaldar.

Please advice.

  1. Check that the file is actually there (and not an alias to another location).
  2. See if you get the error on the next hourly backup.

Bear in mind that you can always reinstall Etude Elements from Steinberg, so it’s not as crucial as one of your own documents.

It seems it was just a glitch. The file was there, and in a second attempt the back up ended normally.
