I noticed that the time marker function does not work at certain songparts. Normally the NOTES module displays the text after the time marker, here seen as [time beat 224] on top of the page in white. The timebeat number seems to be the barposition times 4, minus 4 counts. So songposition bar 0057.1.1 should be 57x4-4=224.
So why does the NOTES module not jump to time beat 288 when it gets to bar 73 (73x4-4=288) and keeps hanging at 224?
Also the last songpart “Outro” at bar 103 does not make the NOTES page jump to its corresponding timebeat/marker 408.
When I jump back in the song to a earlier part, with positions before and including time beat 224 the NOTES module responds fine
Felician, I got that but what is that actual limit?
Just trying to find a way to get musicstuff I have on paper like tab/notes/score/lyrics into VL.
So if text is not usable because the limitations of “notes” and images (jpg) put into “notes” are not scalable/sizeable into the “notes” screen, what would be your suggestion?
No, there is no signature track in my project. I made a little video showing the issue; the notespage jumps to [time beat 160] around bar 40 at the part called “couplet2”, but does not jump to [time beat 224] when it gets to bar 57.
Did some testing. Seems that the time marker in de Notes module looks at info between the square bracket [ ] symbols for time info.
When you use the square bracket here for other stuff like [verse], [bridge], [refrain] which is very common in lyrics, the module is disturbed and fails to accept further time beat info.
A workaround is to not use square brackets, but use another symbol like curly brace { }
It explicitly looks for “[time”. Anything else is ignored, so it seems impossible that any other text would have any impact whatsoever. Could you pls send some text to test?
