I edit podcasts and the ability to scroll or skip seconds with the mouse wheel while in PLAY mode used to help me navigate so easily. Works fine when paused.
Its been locked in Cubase 14. Is there something I’m missing or need to turn on or off, or has this feature simply been removed in cubase 14 ?
Please help.
There is a preference in the Transport section, in case you are using the rewind/fast forward buttons or key commands:

It doesn’t scroll time forward.
Like how While Paused it does.

Strange, it works on my install. Granted, I have to scroll on notch after another on the mouse wheel. So it’s only small hops at a time. If I scroll normally fast then Cubase does not really get going.
If I scroll a bit slower I can actually move the playhead faster.
I take it that you want to be able to do bigger hops, like 5 seconds?
Not really hops are a second each, mostly. I want to be able to scroll through.
Have you tried to scroll while playing by hitting the “NUM -” and “NUM +” keys?
That worked for sure in earlier versions, and I’m almost sure it’s still working on 14.0.20.
