I’m engraving a short piece, at about 100 bars, where the time signature changes almost every bar. Is there an easy way to enter all time signatures in a row, or at least keep the popover open while advancing to the next bar?
Since you say “almost” every bar, I’m guessing that this doesn’t qualify for an alternating time sig, which would require alternation between 2 time sigs every other bar. You probably also don’t want an interchangeable time sig in this situation.
What you can do is enter the first few time sigs, and then Alt/Opt+click them into place as desired – select a time sig and then Alt/Opt+click on a destination bar to paste it there. It’s pretty quick/

Thank you @asherber for your suggestions, however, as there is no pattern of time signatures changing, and they are quite varied (pretty much everything you can imagine from 1/8 to 11/4), I don’t think copying and pasting previous instances can make a significant difference in this case.
If you set up your display so that you can see many measures at once – maybe open a part layout in Fill view – then you could enter the time sig for the first bar and then Alt/Opt+click it to all the other bars where it needs to go. Then enter the second time sig and put it in all the bars where it’s needed, etc.
This is probably faster than manually setting the time sig on each bar with the popover.
Thank you @asherber for your suggestions. They don’t apply so well to my current project but I will keep them in mind for a future occasion.
Inspired by your last suggestion, I tried viewing more of the (so far empty) score and control-selecting the bars that I wished to insert a new time signature in, by invoking the popover. However, this doesn’t work either, because Dorico then, changes the entire score from the earliest point on.
