Time signature doesn't show in the score

I imported a score through XML and have done a lot of editing of it since… The time signature appears as a flag above the first measure but no time signature shows in Write, Engrave, or Print mode. I don’t see anything in the manual on how to change this.

The opening measures look like this:

The Bells used is text I added. The red time signature flag is on top of the tempo marking. The orange C Major flag is on top of the tempo descriptor that also came through XML. I’m sure the tan Bracket and Barline Change is because I set that in Engrave rather than Setup.

How do I get the time signature to actually show in the score?

It’s just a hidden meter. Find the signpost (overlapping the metronome mark in your screenshot) that says “3/4 (q, 1+1+1)”, select it, and hit Return twice. This opens the popover and resets the meter.

Another method: Select the signpost, open the Properties panel (the lower zone), and turn off “Hide time signature”.

Or you could just recreate the meter from scratch: Select anything on the first beat, Type Shift-M and enter 3/4.
