Time signature in between two staves?

Hi all,

Is it possible to have a time signature in between two staves, rather than a time signature on each staff? Let’s say the piece is for two (different) instruments.

Check Library->Layout Options->Time Signatures, and Library->Engraving Options->Time Signatures.

Thank you very much. I think this works only for the bracketed instruments which belong to the same family. :slight_smile:

You can use manual bracketing in Engrave mode.

Oh, wow. I can’t get it to work. Maybe it’s because I have different clefs. Here is the file.

Here you go. In Engrave mode, select an item (rest or note) in each staff and click the bracket.

You actually don’t even need a bracket. Just specify a manual placement:
