I also needed to use time signatures in parenthesis many times over the years but wasn’t able to do so.

It would be interesting to see some examples of where time signatures in parentheses were required.

I saw some examples in posts about this topic, but I don’t know of any new examples of music already written.

My use case is the following: I have a long 4/4 section inside which there are some passages in 2/2. The tempo remains the same but the underlying metric logic changes. Yes, I know this can be written out simply as a time signature change with „quarter note = quarter note”, but a time signature in brackets would better express, in my opinion, what’s happening musically:

Nothing changes except the underlying metrical logic.
