Time signature misplaced in Print Mode

This is the first time I have encountered this problem - which looks to me like a bug.

The first snip is from Engrave mode - as you can see, the time signature is perfectly placed.

Here we see the same bar in Print mode - in the wrong place.

Please - what’s going on and how do I fix it??

There are 4 other time signatures in the same piece with the same problem.

thanks

Nope - no difference. It was actually already set to Bravura. I tried a few combinations and changes - some looked OK in Engrave, some too small, but it was still misplaced in Print mode.

I thought perhaps it was because this was in part an XML import from Finale, but it seemed that deleting and re-adding the time sig should take care of that.

This is the only project file I am seeing this problem with. It is a show score with 13 individual flows - each originally imported from Finale via XML one flow at a time.

The font was Finale Broadway - I got notices that substitutions would be made - it looked OK so I didn’t specify anything.

Any more ideas??

JC

Are the time signatures placed (replaced) as Bravura (music) or Bravura Text? That could certainly affect position.

Upload the file and someone will likely be able to sort it out. Sounds like a Finale-Dorico font problem.

it is larger than 4MB which is the limit for the upload I see. Is there another file upload other that the “arrow icon” in this panel?

You can cut it down to just a couple of bars that show the problem (and apply the silence playback template)

Thank you much to the folks who responded.

Since it seemed to be a “font” issue, I got the idea to just change the overall music font - changed it to Finale Jazz - problem solved.

It may be that you have duplicates installed, or that you have set styles that don’t exist, e.g. Italics of a music font.

It’s likely that there’s nothing wrong with the fonts themselves.
