Time signatures background and lines

Hello everyone,
I’m currently working on a composition where I have multiple time signatures and some aleatoric boxes. The horizontal line overlaps with the time signatuers, so I toggled the “erase background” option in engraving options. The problem is that it only works from a certain point, covering all the previous time signatures. Any ideas on how to work it out?

P.s. Those are not indipendent time signatures, the are valid for all of the musicians.

UPDATE: This is what i see when I select the line

Also, if one resizes the lenght of the line, the covered time signatures change

Perhaps independent time signatures would work better?

I tried, but it does not work. I’m also trying to input multiple lines, the behaviour is completely erratic.

I meant use an indpendent time signature that eliminates the need for all the intermediate global time signatures, so the line effectively covers a single bar.

Unless something changed recently.

Yes. It will be quite time consuming at this point, but I can’t see other solutions.

I read this yesterday and thought it might be the answer, so I reckoned that, in the places where the background was actually removed, there might be a slur spanning the two bars across other staves. At first it seemed to be the case, but then I noticed that this wasn’t happening in other places where there were slurs. So I don’t know why it works sometimes and not others.

I can’t get it to work at all.

Jesper

Neither can I. The line consistently covers the time signatures. What version are you on?

I actually have a vague memory that it did work at one time.

Jesper

I have Dorico Pro 6.2.30.6245.

Same.

Jesper

I think it does works, but in my specific case I don’t understand why it works only on certain parts.
