Time signatures w/out lower numeral

Hi. Dear Dorico:

I recommend that when the denominator of compound time signatures is set to ‘None’ (when it isn’t appearing), there should be an option to display the numerator in dotted note beats. For example:

Denominator = 8: None. Numerator: # of dotted crotchet beats
etc.

I am requesting this because when the denominator of compound time signatures is disabled, it makes more sense to show the numerator in dotted note beats. And so I recommend this option should be added in the near future. Can this please happen soon?

You can already use a dotted note head in place of a number for the bottom of the signature. Have you tried that?

In the meantime, you can, for example, use hidden tuplets in the first bar, then a hidden time signature starting from the second (if I understood correctly your request).

Or, as @L3B is suggesting, you can use this type of TS:
