Hello, I just spent days mapping out a tempo track for a classical peice, only to discover that I accidently loaded it up from 48k into a 44.1 project. needless to say, Ive been building the map on a slowed down version.
When I try to convert it back, I can get the audio file back to the right tempo, and even the tempo change markers, but I cant get the bars and beats to play nice. they just stay where they are.
Ive also tried marking the very end of the peice, and adjusting the tempo on all markers at once, but It doesnt seem to line up correctly when I do that.
does anyone have a suggestion for how to save this stupid error I made?
Thanks
Hello and welcome.
One way to revert back to the file before tempomapping it is turn off “musical mode” on this clip. This should ensure it is in its original tempo. Then export the music piece to a new file (File → Export → Mixdown) with 48kHz.
Then start a new 48kHz project and begin the mapping again.
I hope somebody else will come up with a smarter idea than mine.
appreciate the reply. I have no problem getting the audio file back to tempo, its getting my hours of tempo mapping to follow suit.
Thanks again
Cubase has resample functions, for example in the Pool. I have no idea whether the tempo mapping will be preserved when resamling but maybe you can resample the file to 44.1kHz? Try it on a copy.
