Timpani mapping question

Hi there,
I’m new to Dorico (ex Sibelius user). I can’t find an answer to this question and I am maybe trying to do something that is not possible…
I have setup most of the orchestral instruments using Musio all working great with keyswitches.

I am now working on setting up the Timpani but Musio and EastWest Platinum have the rolls and crescendos as different instruments to load.

So I can’t keyswitch between them. Is it possible to still get the score to read a tremolo coming from a different instrument or do I need to find a VST that has all the different playing styles mapped to one keyboard?

Thank you so much for your help and apologies if it seems like a stupid question!

In your Expression Map, when you want to have a roll (i.e. Tremolo), you just put a channel change action in so it will send the data ahead one channel. You’d need to put the original one in the Natural playback technique I think.

And welcome to the forum!

Thank you Daniel!
This is exactly the puzzle piece I was missing.
really appreciate your help! : )
