Please see the attached Screen Shot. I can’t figure out why in Setup Mode I have placed the Timpani part at the bottom of the staff, but in the score, it is appearing below the mallet part. I need the Timpani part to be at the bottom but am stuck.
Any advice?
Have you set a custom player order for the score layout?

Well, I guess anything is possible, but I didn’t do that on purpose. I will look at the article you sent and see if I somehow did that unintentionally and see if I can figure out how to undo it.

When I go to Layout Options and select Players I do get a window that lists Timpani as you can see, but I am unable to move it anywhere. The “Move Up” and “Move Down” buttons have no effect.
Which layout did you have selected when you opened this dialog? I guess it’s the Timpani player’s layout, so there is only this one player.
Open the dialog and select “Full score” at the top of the right panel.
You are spot on. Problem solved. Thank you. I just can’t figure out how I did that. I must have had a few moments or insanity and went into a fugue (no pun intended).
Anyway. It’s all good.
