Another one of the Finale adopters here, mostly enjoying learning this but having a weird font issue. My title is in Academico Bold Italic, and the bottom of the lowercase F is getting cutoff and I’m not sure what the issue is or how to fix it. Thoughts and feelings?
I believe that in enlarging the font you might have exceeded the size of the Text Frame that was (automatically) created. Going into Engrave Mode > Frames and adjusting the lower border on the green box could possibly fix it.
By the way… don’t edit the score itself. Edit the Page template!

It’s the same frame for the title and the subtitle (using it for revision date) and it didn’t seem to work. Even adjusting the baseline just slid the cutoff up with the rest of the text…

Actually it isn’t; this is how the Academico italics are drawn, following the design of Century Schoolbook. You may be expecting a ‘bowl’ at the bottom of the f like in a forte dynamic, but this font doesn’t have one.
Oh! Yeah, that’ll do it, just looked up a font preview. Welp, gonna go sit in my corner in shame now.
