Title Page Edits

Hello,

I added a title page to all 30 of my parts (layouts).

Later, I needed to make a small change to the title page. So I opened the Page Template Editor, made the change, and applied it. However, the changes were not reflected in the existing title pages. (it got saved in the template…)

The only way I can get the updated version is by deleting the title page in each individual part and inserting it again. That doesn’t seem like the intended workflow.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this expected behavior?

Do you have a page override? The small red triangle showing in the upper right in Engrave mode. If so, right-click the little page and remove the override.

I do, and that’s what I assumed.

But how is the page overwrite linked to my page template? I mean it is just an inserted page, I didn’t change anything on the page itself.

And when inserting a title page, how would there not be a page overwrite?

You need to use “Insert Page Template Change” and not “Insert Pages”. I admit it’s not obvious!

Now is there also a way to add the title page to all parts or do I have to add it to each layout separately?

AFAIK, you’ll have to do it for each layout separately.

Also, this Layout Option might be of interest for you (the First template will automatically apply to the first page of the flow – but of every flow, which maybe you don’t want):

Also, you can import your Title Page Template from the Default Part Page Template Set to the Default Full Score one, and the other way around (but they won’t be linked).
