I am having an issue when I use Manual Condensing on unison players. It shows an a2 after every rest - how do i fix this?
If it’s in unison then there shouldn’t be a need to add any manual changes.
What type of “manual condensing” have you added? If you upload this section of your project, we can easily diagnose.
Im using Manual Condensing because i want full control over when Flute 1/2 or together and when flute 2/3 together and once I do a custom condensing group you cant change it in manual condensing. Regardless, why would Dorico put so many a2’s. seems like a bug
This isnt for anything specific I am just playing around with options and thought this outcome was weird
I don’t think there already is an option to reduce the number of “a2” showing up.
Dorico thinks in phrases, which is “everything between two rests”, and it seems that for every new phrase Dorico renders the “a2” if players are in unison.
Currently the only option is to hide them, unfortunately.
Did I read somewhere that the Development Team is indeed looking into that situation? (Nothing promised, but they are looking into what might be done.)
