To play external instrument from cubase element 13

Hi,
I hooked up my external (Roland E-09) that I’ve been using for a couple of years through USB in Scarlet 2I2. I also only used VST software. There are some nice sounds on my Roland that I would like to make use of.
I’m not very familiar with midi through and recording external instruments via midi.
Please help

Hi,

You cannot use the External Instrument, as you can in Cubase Pro.

So you have to add a MIDI Track to send the MIDI data and an Audio Track to receive the Audio signal back.
