Tool bar disappears from Dorico for iPad

Create a new project on iPad and start writing and, after a while, the main toolbar disappears and half the secondary toolbar..

So can no longer click to exit to Dorico hub etc.

Notes:

I have to admit, I don’t have the most up to date iPadOS on my iPad 12.9". If something like this happens, I usually change orientation of the iPad (from portrait to landscape and back to portrait). This brings back full display.

Yes, I tried this but it didn’t work for me unfortunately

Have you updated to the new iPadOS 26.3 yet?
They have changed something to do with window display. I hesitated and am still on version 18.2…

Well, yes I am now on iPadOS 26.3 but the issue remains.

However, I discovered that there is a “Show toolbar” command in the Jump bar that does restore the spontaneously disappearing toolbar, although its key command (Command 6) has no effect.

It would appear that the window dimensions are spontaneously altering.

I am using the “traditional” iPad full screen / single app display rather than multiple windows.

I switched over to using “Windowed apps” in iPad’s Multitasking & Gestures settings and so far I have had no loss of the toolbar.

For reference, I asked about iPadOS 26 as opposed to iPadOS 18.

Since upgrading to iOS 26 on my iPhone I have experienced several display-related issues, even at version 26.3.

That’s why I continue to use version 18 on my iPad until Apple has resolved these glitches…
