I was trying to speed up my workflow by integrating shortcuts into my workflow. But I noticed the default shortcuts for the toolbar are really weird compared to the order of the tools on the actual toolbar.
Object and Range selection are fine.
The weirdness starts with the draw tool. It’s the 3rd on the toolbar but the default shortcut key is 8. Erase is 5 (4th on toolbar) Scissor is 3 (5th on toolbar) Glue is 4 (6th on toolbar) Mute is correctly 7 and zoom is 6 (8th on toolbar).
Obviously we can customize the shortcuts to our liking. But for new users the default shortcuts make it harder to learn because they are not in order. When learning you can’t take a glance at the toolbar to quickly be roughly remembered the shortcut you need to use. Seems like a strange choice.
Is this just the results of years of new features, while keeping older shortcuts?
