太阳雨

Another ‘oriental flavoured’ pop-orchestral tune:

太阳雨 (Taiyang Yu)

:sunglasses:

Superb, in every way. I just have two complaints, however. The whole middle part of the song is missing the erhu (that’s what I call it anyway), I was glad when it returned. Then, in the last bit, I thought the accordian could come up a fair amount.

Very pretty. The first minute or so reminded me more of Secret Garden than oriental but I enjoyed all of it.
well done.

I like it. But mix sounds a bit flat or thin. But the idea itself is great.

Very nice Ian,sounds like a kind of film score but a classy film score .

Nice effort Ian…very melodic and well structured piece…

best, Kevin

Dizi (dee-za) - is a flute like instrument - appears once at 00:38
Erhu (ar- hoo) - A 2-string cello-like instrument features at 2:18

“Less is more” :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Neil.

Thanks, though I’m not hearing resembling anything “flat or thin” here to be honest? Mix sounds full to me and there’s certainly a ton of dynamics on this one.

Cheers Kev! :sunglasses:

Hi Ian,

How’s things down under?

Sounds good! Great production. :sunglasses:

Cheers,
Wim

Hi Wim, things are average to middling here!

Kind of a theme and variations, I’d say. It does sound like a film score. Great mix, as usual!

Beautiful playing Ian! Love the tremolo strings too

:sunglasses:

See in again in China soon.

24th Oct. Put the kettle on

Extremely rich sounds, I love them. Excellent playing. Fascinating arrangement with so many styles being exhibited much like a travel documentary - seeing something new around every corner!

In this track, how can less be more? despite me agreeing with you.
