I’m fiddling around with TouchOSC and am wondering whether the Midi Remote can also send back events to TouchOSC. For example, when I toggle Dotted or Triplet quantization. I really want to use toggle buttons for this that reflect the actual state in Cubase also when I change the quantization within Cubase, but as far as I can see, Cubase doesn’t send anything back. Is this possible somehow?
I’m afraid none of those actions are able to send their status via MIDI Remote.
Allowing a larger amount of settings and states to be read via MIDI Remote has been requested in the past. Not sure how high up on Steinberg’s priority list implementing it would be. My personal guess is, not very high at all.
Thats sad, I have seen in the API that is a bit more limited than what I have wished. Still good enough for now. After the conversion to javascript, I could at least make the mute/solo/read/write automation buttons sync with the state in cubase.
