Track Archives vs. Import Track from Project?

Does anyone understand how Track Archives and Importing Tracks from a Project differ? The Archive is an .xml file and the Project of course is .cpr. Does that format difference impact anything?

I’ve done some testing and both methods seem to offer the same results - both (unlike Track Presets) retain Direct Routing settings - and also (like Presets) color, pics, expression maps, etc. Is there anything one can do that the other can’t?

Hi,

Both of them are the same. The Track Archive option is the old way, later the Import Tracks from Project option came in and the Track Archive option has been kept for the backward compatibility reason.
