In many cases, I prefer the automation-tracks (within the project window) to have a height" of 1. That, however, means that the “lock” and “pause” controls are not visible (see screenshot below of a height-2 automation-track). Unlike the “main” track types where I have a “track control setting” in which I can customize the layout, I don’t think I can do the same for the automation-track. As a result, whenever I need to lock/unlock (or mute) an automation track I need to explicitly change its height (from 1 to 2), which is quite annoying. One of the ways to improve my experience would be to allow me to customize that setting (as I can in the “track control setting” for other types of tracks).
