Hey!
I am running WaveLab Pro 12.0.51 (Build 15) - Apple Silicon.
I have a montage with multiple titles, and title 02 happens to have the exact length of 00:03:59:513.
When I create an Album Report PDF from this montage, the track length reads as 03:60 on this specific title. I understand that WaveLab rounds the value up to the nearest full second, which is great.
To the question: since the track length is 513ms over 03 minutes and 59 seconds, shouldn’t the length on the PDF read 04:00 instead of 03:60? Is there a setting I’m not aware of, where this can be checked? Or is there a reason by design for the more unusual XX:60 marking being used here, that I’m missing out on?
I stumbled upon this interesting issue when a confused client sent me a question about this. He had sent my album report PDF to a vinyl cover designer so they could copy the track lengths into the cover design. I’m glad that the graphic designer realized that 03:60 is not really a thing you want to print on the cover, instead of 04:00, heh Otherwise we could have had 300 covers fresh from the print with some curious length markings, and it would have kind of been my fault, as I didn’t realize this from the PDF I sent. To be honest, if I’m not totally mistaken, I have not seen (or noticed) this kind of behavior from WaveLab before.
Just wanting to know if this is user error somehow and if there is something obvious I’m missing? Let me know if you need any specific info about the montage etc, and I’ll provide!
Thanks & Cheers!
