does Wavelab have the option to unmute selected or all tracks at once?
I am using WL 12, and yes, at least if you have one track solo-ed and the rest muted, click the red solo button to turn it off and all tracks become unmuted.

thank you for your input, but I am looking more something that can unmute 20 tracks scattered throughout a 50 track project, so that now all tracks are unmuted, soloing one track only toggles the muted state.
This is not possible (unless you have an Atmos master montage and all the tracks you want to mute belong to the same group).
