Track Quick Controls

I am using Cubase Pro 9.5, Windows 10, on a PC.

I have the track quick controls set up properly, it ‘learned’ the dials on my controller and that seemed to be ok. When I go back and check, it saved the values.

I can assign parameters to the 8 quick control slots in the track inspector. And when i move them manually, the thing it is controlling will respond.

But when i turn the dial on my controller, it does not affect the quick control onscreen. There is a blue button ‘enable’ in the quick control section of the inspector, that is activated.

Is there something else i have to do , to make the quick control for tracks, move the sliders i have on a track?
