At the moment I have a Behringer X touch one, and a Nectar CS12, and they both have the same problem, so I think it must be Cubase 14:
When I select a track in the mixer then both controllers follow my selection and I can work in that channel. But when I select a channel in the normal track mode, it doesn’t follow. Both controllers will effect the first ever selected channel. How is this possible, and more important, how can I make it work in the main window track selection?
Hi @Plonk ,
I only have a CS12 with Cubase 14, but since this works for me:
Which versions do you have currently?
For me:
Cubase 14 Pro [currently 14.0.10]
Windows 10 [currently 22H2]
Nektar CS12 [currently FW 01.02.01, Control Core 1.1.6]
I had the same experience in the past, and the solution for me was to go to Preferences→Editing→Project & MixConsole and enable Sync Selection in Project Window and MixConsole.
I have that enabled already. Explains the different behavior, and why it also affects the X touch one.
@Tim_Chandler - might be worth a hint in the Cubase-related manual.
Certainly. The key point here is that MIDI Remote controls/reflects the Mixer, NOT the Project Window. So, “Selected Track” actually refers to the one selected in the Mixer, thus, if we don’t have this option enabled it just won’t work the way we (wrongly) expect it to.
Thanks! That’s it!
