Introduced in Cubase 13. Only happened on MacOS. Sometimes soloing a track makes it Solo Defeat Instead. And trying to unsolo it sometimes doesn’t work.
Also sometimes solo is displayed for a track when track is actually not solo’d.

No, it doesn’t happen only on MacOS, and yes, this happens when you are pressing the mouse left button for a little while more than needed (something like one second, at least).
And indeed, clicking on the Solo button at its Solo Defeat state doesn’t reset the solo button to idle, but Alt+[click] allows it. I guess that this will be fix in 13.0.40…
Do you have a reproducible process to check this ?
Actually, there is nothing to fix… 
Click + hold makes it quite confusing sometimes if you happen to hold some tenths of a second too long when you didn’t mean to.
Wouldn’t it be great with a ”want it or not” possibility in the Settings (if there isn’t)?
no, it happens randomly it seems. other users in Cubase facebook groups reported same issues.
