All DAWS that I have worked with allow you to send any track output to any tracks input and record (Studio One, Ableton, Bitwig, Reaper). This is a great time saver when bouncing tracks down in real time, especially if you want to bounce down a VSTi with multiple outputs to a bunch of audio tracks and then preprocess later. Drum kits like BFD and Superior Drummer are common contenders for this use case.
Another benefit is you can listen in real time as you record the bounce.
Currently in Cubase there is no way to duplicate this workflow. You have to mix down the individual tracks in real time and import back into the project but you can’t listen until after the mixdown is completed and the mixdown only processes one output at a time and is time consuming.
