Track Type Colours Removed When Moved Issue

I’m new to Cubase, and while I’m learning I’ve found that usefulness of using track type colours has been destroyed by the removal of the optional folder colour sync feature. I believe the sync is there by default, regardless. If I move a track to another folder the colour it’s been assigned in Settings > User Interface > Track Type Default Colours is no longer honoured. The colour is over-ridden with the enclosing folder colour. If we’ve set custom colours or choose to use custom colours for track types, then you should not be interfering with the choice.

Hi,

Double check the Preferences > Event Display > Folders > Apply Color of Folder Track Automatically. Ensure, it’s set to Never.

Thank you very much Martin!

I’ll remove the word “bug” from the title of this post if it’s possible.

You’ll have to forgive me, as I’ve been a software engineer most of my life, so UX is important to me. Having said that, is that the correct place for that setting to be? I ignored that because it was under Event Display, and in the manual that doesn’t include the folders in the Track List, but I get how they are linked.
