Track Version Bug?

All of a sudden while working on a project, I ran into this:

I don’t know how this happened. Perhaps it’s because I had multiple tracks selected inadvertently when I created a new or duplicate track version. Or perhaps I ran into a very strange bug. Scary!

In response, I dropped back to the most recent backup that isn’t doing this and I am working on importing the work (edited audio files) that I did subsequent to that backup.

I would love to hear how to avoid whatever this is, and I would be happy to upload anything Steinberg needs to figure it out.

It was probably the other way around. You added a version to one track, but not the others. Look at the tracks and you’ll see they don’t all have a version 28. It can be tricky sometimes to keep versions in sync across multiple tracks.

Multiple tracks had the same version name and version number.
