Hi there,
I hope, someone can help me.
I am using the following setup with my tracks (some examples)
- Cinestrings Violins 1 –> Bus Violins 1 –> Bus Hi Strings
- Areia Violins 1 –> Bus Violins 1 –> Bus Hi Strings
- Cinestrings Violins 2 –> Bus Violins 2 –> Bus Hi Strings
- Areia Violins 2 –> Bus Violins 2 –> Bus Hi Strings
- Cinestrings Violas –> Bus Violas –> Bus Hi Strings
- Areia Cellos –> Bus Cellos –> Bus Lo Strings
- Areia DblBass –> Bus Dbl Bass –> Bus Lo Strings
It is a 3-stage bus concept for mixing purposes and for rendering out stems.
I have a lot of tracks in the template, all deactivated by standard. They get activated, if I need them.
My goal for the track visibility in the mixer is:
I activate Cinestrings Violins 1 –> Bus Violins 1 become visible –> Bus Hi Strings become visible
That means: Show me the connnected bus tracks only, if I activate an instrument track which is connected to.
I don’t know, what to do, if I try to configure it. Is that maybe possible with the Project Logical Editor? If yes, anyone knows, what I need to input there?
Edit Channel Settings>Show Output Chain
Thanks for your fast answer. Unfortunately I think there’s a misunderstanding. Maybe I wasn’t expressing it in the right way.
What you mean is visible in this screenshot, right? That isn’t basically wrong, but I mean another configuration
What I try to achieve is, that the bus channels get automatically visible in the Mixer, if I activate an instrument, which has this routing target.
In the screenshot the blue channels are the group channels and the purple channels are the Stem channels. If I activate the instrument track “AR Violins 1” then automatically both bus channels (blue/purple) shall be visible, otherwise these both channels shall be invisible.
I can set the visibility manually but I try to find an automated way to set.
I don’t think this is possible. Even with the PLE, it’s not possible to target all the Group channels that are connected to the currently active channel and make them visible.
Personally, I can use a macro to visualize a track and open the mixer with the groups and VCAs of the instrument family, but targeting a single group, VCA, and/or effect shouldn’t be possible.
if I select a single track
You’ll always have all the group leads, VCAs, etc…
In any case, I still haven’t found the solution.
That’s exactly the status I have. All selected group channels are always visible in that way, what is configured in the visibility editor on the left side.
It was only an idea to make the things easier, if it comes to stem rendering, because I don’t need every group channel or every stem channel in each track. It differs from track to track.
Well, It is what it is. It is a bit more manual work, but not a show stopper.
