Tracks' names. How to get them?

Hi everybody,

another uninteresting question, nevertheless for some of us and for some reason necessary.

After naming tracks, burning a CD via WaveLab 7, everything goes smooth. Cd perfectly burned, etc…

Then, listening to the CD via any CD readers or any computers, tracks’ names are not displayed.

As far as you know, is there any chance (and how) to have names shown?

  1. Is the CD-text really burned to the disk? Check this by using the CD-import function in WL.
  2. Not many hardware CD-players can read CD-text, so be sure you check on the right one(s).
  3. Computer media players usually take their information from an internet database and NOT from the written disk.

I think you will also find that modern car players will display all the text, as well as more full featured, newer player-recorders. That has been my experience.

The computer database necessity is frustrating, but that is the way it is.
