Welcome to the forum.
Can you explain a bit more? Do you mean making the same indent to every part layout?
Can you show us, either with an uploaded document, or a screenshot, what you have now, and what you are trying to achieve?
Agree with @benwiggy that an example would be helpful.
But to be sure: you know you can set the default indent for the first system of each flow?
Maybe for your situation splitting the music in different flows would be a solution? That would affect all players at once.
Yes, you understand right. The same indent for each part layout.
At the moment i am not on the correct PC, tomorrow i can send a screenshot if necessary.
yes, for the first system i know.
But i don´t know, how i can do that for other systems/staves
I found a sample ![]()
there i have a indentation on the end of the first site and on the beginning of the secon site.
Also i have it on the ende and on the beginning.
Am I correct you have no problem with the start indent for first and Coda systems? (When a Coda starts on a new system, it respects the gap you set in Layout options)
But you are looking for ways to avoid justification of the last system of a flow, and the system with the DS al Coda?
For the final system you can specify when it has to be justified
If you set that to 99% it won’t get justified.
For the last system before the DS al Coda I can’t find a global setting
Thank you very much for the answer.
Yes you are right.
Okay, than i have no setting at the moment for my problem.
What do you think, will it give an update in the future that i can adjust to each system a different length and can transfer it to the other players?
I expect the solution depends on how similar one’s parts are. If all the music for the section/flow in question can fit in three systems plus a partial system on a page, a special page template might be possible, but depending on the music for each instrument, that may be asking a lot.
I’m not sure how one would expect Dorico to program such an option for such a situation and how often (economically practical) it would be.
In Finale was this possible, because of that i´m asking ![]()
Sometimes it was realy helpful to coppy such layout to all players.
In my opinon it is imperative necessery for the tipical german music i compose.
You could try and see if splitting the coda to a new flow is a workable workaround in your situation.
That way the system before the Coda automatically becomes the last system of the flow, which you van prevent to justify.
I’m just a user without any knowledge of the Development Roadmap.
And Dorico employees almost never announce any future changes, so you’ll have to wait for the release notes of next version(s)
many thanks
