Transfer projects from C6.5 to C7

I’m likely to upgrade from C6.5 to C7 and have quite a number of projects sitting in C6.5. Is it a simple procedure to get them transferred across ?

Yes. Simply open the project and then save the project (preferably an incremental save or with a new name).
