The problem with transferring my hundred of files out of Finale as an “xml” file having converted into them from Finale is that xml files DO NOT transfer “text” used in the finale files which these text inserts which are used by putting them into the location as had been in the finale files such had been because the “text”, such as second language translations underneath the lyrics in a lead sheet or labels put in such as boy or girl to sing next to the lyrics, which lyrics however are “locked” to those transcribed notes instead end up all over the place haphazardly moving the notes distortedly when the xml files are imported into Dorico. Because of the hundreds of hours I already invested with Finale over the years creating scores and lead sheets, one would “assume” there should “rather” be a means to open Finale files without this occurring in Dorico. I tried to go to Steinberg’s chat line but I get no response and there’s no live phone number for support. Using Dorico “appears” to only benefit creating new files which is out of the question for a seasoned Finale user. I was hoping to get someone from Dorico to contact “me” directly whereas your videos nor help section in the manual does not address text in your product. Help! Looks like I’m screwed. I have details and questions I need answered. Who can I speak with, how, and where? thanks.
Just checking: this looks identical to a thread you started about 10 min ago. Error?
